UK peer to peer lending platform Proplend has moved to larger premises in Richmond, London.
The move comes to accommodate a growing team and platform expansion plans after more than 3 years in Ascot (Berkshire), since founding in 2014.
CEO, Brian Bartaby commented: “Our move from Ascot to Richmond has been prompted by the need for more office and meeting space to house our expanding team. Richmond is a great location for our staff, offering a vibrant working environment. It’s a less well known but thriving tech hub boasting the likes of eBay, Paypal, Gumtree and Not On The High Street.com.”

As well as being a record year to date for the UK P2P lending industry as a whole, the first half of 2017 was also a record 6 months for Proplend – and platform activity showed no signs of letting up during July and August.
Thanks in part to the launch of its Innovative Finance ISA (IFISA) and introduction of an online portal for Advisers and Wealth Managers earlier in the year, Proplend 2017 volumes have already significantly surpassed those for the whole of 2016.
Merchant Bank, Salamanca also recently announced successful Series A equity funding for Proplend. The initial round of funding will be used to accelerate the platform’s growth over the next five years, principally including the recruitment of business development professionals to grow borrowing requirements, investment into the platform’s technology and strengthening marketing activities.
